About HTMBox

HTMBox hosts static frontend projects. A Box is one hosted site or app; every deployment becomes an immutable Release.

How HTMBox works

HTMBox is for HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and static assets. It is not a server runtime, CMS, or build pipeline.

Upload a frontend project as a ZIP and HTMBox creates a Box, stores the deployment as a Release, and serves it at a hosted URL when published.

  1. Create or publish a Box.
  2. Open its hosted URL to check the deployed frontend.
  3. Use the Box and Analytics areas to manage future deployments and review traffic.

Important terms

Tips and limits

  • Box: the stable project identity, URL scope, settings, and analytics scope.
  • Release: an immutable deployment created from an uploaded ZIP.
  • Live Workspace: a separate mutable working copy for supported file operations.
  • Hosted URL: the public address that resolves a Box and its current content.

Tips

Tips and limits

  • Keep a deployable ZIP with index.html and all referenced assets together.
  • Use a new Release for a production update; do not rely on editing a historical Release.
  • Choose Community publishing when you need a public URL before creating an account.
