Analytics

Analytics

HTMBox analytics is derived from delivery logs and aggregates, including traffic served from the CDN. It does not depend on a JavaScript browser beacon.

What is measured

Visits count HTML pageviews. Asset requests are excluded from the visit count, while bandwidth reporting includes response bytes for hosted content.

The Analytics area can show totals, trends, recent visits, referrers, pages, device types, operating systems, browsers, languages, countries, status codes, and Box usage where available.

Review a Box

  1. Open Analytics and select a Box.
  2. Choose a date range or the available range control.
  3. Use Overview for summary and trend data.
  4. Use Traffic, Audience, Geo, Status, Usage, and Recent views to examine the available aggregates and rows.

Limits and timing

Analytics arrives through the delivery-log pipeline, so it is eventually consistent rather than an instant browser counter. Cached traffic is included when the log pipeline receives it.

When analytics is disabled for a Box, the Dashboard presents a disabled state instead of treating missing reporting as zero traffic.

Tips and limits

  • Use reporting trends to understand direction, not as a real-time request debugger.
  • Country may be unknown when a source record has no usable geo data.
  • Analytics is read-only; Premium and credit purchases belong in Account Plans.
