Plans

Plans and billing

Boxes can be Community, Free, or Dedicated. Account Premium enables Dedicated capability, and flexible credits are pooled across the account.

Box modes

Tips and limits

  • Community: public publish-first Box with no owner until it is claimed.
  • Free: registered, non-billed Box with a generated free-path URL and HTMBox attribution.
  • Dedicated: a Box whose owner has active account Premium capability, eligible for a selected subdomain and supported Premium features.

Limits and enforcement

Premium costs $10 per month and includes 1,000 monthly credits. Flexible credit packs roll over, while included monthly credits expire at the end of their billing period.

Successful Box creation, Release deployment, approved setting changes, storage, bandwidth, and enabled Premium features use server-calculated, versioned credit rates. Credits are pooled across the account rather than assigned to individual Boxes.

Storage is measured from immutable current Release bytes. Bandwidth is measured from CDN and load-balancer aggregates. Rate changes never alter a prior ledger entry.

What “still online” means

Low credits do not suspend a hosted Box, return an over-quota error to visitors, or block existing content. They can block a new chargeable operation after the account grace period.

Free and Community pages include HTMBox attribution. Usage is based on delivery-log analytics and can be eventually consistent.

Upgrade a Box

  1. Create and deploy the Box first so it has a persistent Box identity.
  2. Use the Account Plans entry point in Stage 2 or from the Dashboard.
  3. Complete the account Premium or flexible-credit checkout.
  4. Return to the Box and confirm that active account Premium has enabled the Dedicated behavior you need.

Tips and limits

  • Premium entitlement and credits belong to the account, not a Box.
  • A Dedicated Box without active account Premium enters Needs attention and can be downgraded to Free.
  • Legacy wallet records are retained as read-only migration history and cannot fund new purchases.
