Free-path URLs
Community and Free Boxes use a hosted path URL in the form https://htmbox.app/your-box-slug/. Free slugs are generated by HTMBox and are not author-selected.
The stable URL follows the Box current content. A Release preview URL is separate and identifies a specific immutable Release.
Dedicated URLs
A Dedicated Box with active account Premium capability can use a selected subdomain in the form https://your-box-slug.htmbox.app/. Selecting Dedicated in the Box editor opens Account Plans; it does not grant the mode until Premium is active.
The Dashboard can collect custom-domain entries for eligible Boxes, but domain verification, activation, and routing are not a completed public workflow to depend on yet.
Tips and limits
- Do not publish DNS instructions for a custom domain until the Dashboard reports that it is verified and active.
- Keep links to the stable URL for your current site and use a release-scoped URL only when you need to inspect a particular Release.
Domain tab checklist
- Open the Box editor and select Domain.
- Review the current slug and URL form.
- Activate account Premium before expecting a custom Dedicated slug.
- Treat any custom-domain entry as pending until the platform confirms activation.
